Studio Yukiko is a Berlin-based creative agency specialising in creative direction, art direction, brand strategy, concept generation and graphic design for commercial and cultural clients alike.
The studio produces award-winning work, unearthing narratives, telling stories of local communities worldwide, and immerses themselves in the trends of internet and youth culture. With its research arm, Yukiko continually experiments with contemporary forms of visual storytelling and fosters a deeper understanding of the audiences with which its projects engage.
Yukiko’s unique approach is both conceptual and holistic: Design projects are understood as multifaceted endeavours, and its work often brings together distinct communication strategies including corporate design, brand strategy, creative direction, motion design, animation, photography, and spatial design. With its progressive, international and diverse team, Yukiko speaks many visual and strategic languages and understands many audiences.
The studio also collaborates with a broad network of creatives such as architects, sound artists, philosophers, coders, illustrators and photographers.
Yukiko’s process is a deeply strategic one: It is dedicated to understanding a client’s long-term needs, as well as a product’s sense of authenticity and a brand’s market positioning. Instead of providing a client with prefabricated ideas or packages, Yukiko develops solutions that derive from intimate and active dialogues between all participants involved in a project.
Ultimately, the studio’s distinctly unique spirit feeds both its outlook and output. And with an agile, knowledgeable team, Yukiko offers its clients dynamic yet thoroughly conceptualised solutions.
Yukiko design systems fluently for IRL and URL formats and speak to local and International audiences, translating ideas and concepts through the filter of current, mainstream and counter-culture.
Yukiko’s work has been awarded by D&AD, ADC Germany, TDC New York and Lead Awards.
Recently the studio’s Flaneur magazine received Art Directors of the Year at the Stack Awards as well as Magazine of the Year.
