Studio Yukiko is a Berlin-based creative agency specialising in creative direction, art direction, brand strategy, concept development, and design direction for cultural institutions, public organisations, and commercial clients.
The studio produces award-winning work that unearths narratives, tells stories of local communities worldwide, and immerses itself in the currents of internet and contemporary youth culture. With its ongoing research practice, Yukiko explores new forms of visual storytelling and expands its understanding of cultural, social, and technological contexts in which its work exists.
Yukiko approaches every project as a strategic and multidisciplinary endeavour. Working across brand strategy, visual identity, creative direction, motion, editorial, digital, and spatial design, the studio develops worlds that extend far beyond a single medium. Research and dialogue sit at the heart of the process. Yukiko works closely with clients and collaborators to uncover what makes an organisation, product, or institution distinctive, translating these insights into identities that are meaningful, culturally relevant, and built to endure.
With an international team and an extensive network of collaborators, including architects, artists, writers, coders, philosophers, illustrators, photographers, and researchers, the studio moves fluidly across disciplines and audiences. Equally informed by contemporary youth culture, local communities, internet culture, and emerging technologies, Yukiko creates work that resonates across both physical and digital environments.
The studio’s work has been recognised by D&AD, ADC Germany, TDC New York, and TDC Tokyo, among others. Members of the team have also served on the juries of D&AD, TDC, and LADAWARDS, contributing to the wider discourse on contemporary design.
