Studio Yukiko is a Berlin-based creative agency specialising in creative direction, art direction, brand strategy, concept generation and graphic design for both commercial and cultural clients.
The studio produces award-winning work that unearths narratives, tells stories of local communities worldwide, and immerses itself in the currents of internet and youth culture. With its research arm, Yukiko continually experiments with new forms of visual storytelling and deepens its understanding of the audiences its projects engage.
Yukiko’s approach is both conceptual and holistic. Every design project is treated as a multifaceted endeavour, often bringing together distinct communication strategies — from corporate and brand design to creative direction, motion, photography, animation, and spatial design. With a progressive, international, and diverse team, Yukiko speaks many visual and strategic languages, navigating a broad spectrum of audiences with fluency, curiosity, and cultural awareness.
The studio collaborates with an extensive network of creatives — architects, sound artists, philosophers, coders, illustrators, and photographers — expanding its practice beyond traditional design boundaries. Yukiko’s process is deeply strategic, dedicated to understanding each client’s long-term needs, a product’s authenticity, and a brand’s cultural positioning. Instead of offering prefabricated solutions, the studio develops ideas through close and active dialogue with all collaborators involved in the process.
Ultimately, the studio’s distinctive spirit drives both its outlook and output. With an agile and highly skilled team, Yukiko delivers dynamic yet deeply conceptual solutions. Designing fluently for both IRL and URL formats, the studio connects with local and international audiences alike — translating ideas and concepts through the lens of contemporary, mainstream, and counter-culture. Yukiko’s work has been recognised by D&AD, ADC Germany, TDC New York, and TDC Tokyo, among others. Team members have also served on the juries of D&AD, TDC, and LADAWARDS, shaping discourse in contemporary design.
