Studio Yukiko is a Berlin-based creative agency specialising in creative direction, art direction, brand strategy, concept generation and graphic design for both commercial and cultural clients.
The studio produces award-winning work that unearths narratives, tells stories of local communities worldwide, and immerses itself in the currents of internet and youth culture. With its research arm, Yukiko continually experiments with new forms of visual storytelling and deepens its understanding of the audiences its projects engage.
Yukiko’s approach is both conceptual and holistic. Every design project is treated as a multifaceted endeavour, often bringing together distinct communication strategies — from corporate and brand design to creative direction, motion, photography, animation, and spatial design. With a progressive, international, and diverse team, Yukiko speaks many visual and strategic languages, navigating a broad spectrum of audiences with fluency, curiosity, and cultural awareness.
The studio collaborates with an extensive network of creatives — architects, sound artists, philosophers, coders, illustrators, and photographers — expanding its practice beyond traditional design boundaries. Yukiko’s process is deeply strategic, dedicated to understanding each client’s long-term needs, a product’s authenticity, and a brand’s cultural positioning. Instead of offering prefabricated solutions, the studio develops ideas through close and active dialogue with all collaborators involved in the process.

Yukiko’s work has been recognised by D&AD, ADC Germany, TDC New York, and TDC Tokyo, among others. Team members have also served on the juries of D&AD, TDC, and LADAWARDS, shaping discourse in contemporary design.

Recently the studio’s Flaneur magazine received Art Directors of the Year at the 2019 Stack Awards as well as Magazine of the Year.
